Job Summary

The talent shall be in charge of recruiting publishers by identifying, engaging, and onboarding them to the ASANKA platform. This role will focus on building relationships with educational content creators, and individual publishers, ensuring they understand the benefits of joining the platform. The talent will also strategize to expand the platform’s catalog of content, enhance diversity, and grow the platform’s reach in various markets.

Key Responsibilities

Publisher Recruitment

  • Identify and target potential publishers, including authors, and content creators, who can contribute to the platform.
  • Actively engage with potential partners to introduce the platform’s value proposition and the benefits of publishing content on the platform.
  • Use networking, industry events, and digital outreach to attract publishers.

 

Onboarding and Relationship Management

  • Guide publishers through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition onto the platform.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with publishers, providing support and addressing concerns as needed.
  • Work closely with the customer support and technical teams to ensure publishers receive assistance throughout their engagement.

 

Contract Negotiation

  • Lead negotiations with publishers regarding contract terms, revenue sharing, and content rights agreements.
  • Ensure agreements are mutually beneficial while maintaining the platform’s financial and operational goals.

 

Market Research and Strategy

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the online publishing space.
  • Develop strategies to attract publishers across different genres and niches, ensuring a diverse catalog of content.
  • Monitor the performance of existing publishers and optimize recruitment efforts based on platform needs.

 

Collaboration with ASANKA and Sales Teams

  • Work with the ASANKA team and sales teams to identify gaps in the platform’s offerings and focus recruitment efforts accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the marketing officer on marketing campaigns and promotional strategies to attract new publishers.
  • Provide feedback on market trends and publishers’ needs to grow the platform..

 

Partnership Development

  • Establish partnerships with publishing associations to expand recruitment efforts.
  • Leverage industry connections to foster long-term relationships that benefit both the platform and its content partners.

 

Metrics and Reporting

  • Track and report on key metrics related to publisher recruitment, retention, and content performance.
  • Analyze data to refine recruitment strategies and ensure that targets are being met.
  • Provide regular updates on recruitment progress and market dynamics.

 

Industry Awareness

  • Stay up to date on trends in the publishing and digital content industries, including new technologies, competitive platforms, and shifts in audience preferences.
  • Attend industry conferences, webinars, and networking events to enhance the platform’s visibility and attract top-tier publishers.

 

Key Performance Indicators

Publisher Recruitment

  • Number of new publishers recruited per quarter (target: 3)
  • Publisher acquisition rate (target: 30% increase YoY)
  • Publisher retention rate (target: 80%)

 

Onboarding and Relationship Management

  • Average onboarding time (target: 2 weeks)
  • Publisher satisfaction rating (target: 90%)
  • Net Promoter Score (NPS) for publishers (target: 10)

 

Contract Negotiation

  • Number of contracts negotiated per quarter (target: 4)
  • Revenue sharing agreement success rate (target: 85%)

 

Collaboration

  • Joint marketing campaigns with ASANKA and sales teams (target: 4 per quarter)
  • Publisher recruitment strategy alignment with sales teams (target: 90%)

 

Partnership Development

  • Industry event attendance (target: 4 per year)
  • Strategic partnerships secured (target: 4 per year)
  • Webinar participation (target: 2 per quarter)

 

Metrics and Reporting

  • Quarterly recruitment progress reports

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in recruiting, business development, or publisher relations, 
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Familiarity with online platforms, digital publishing, and content distribution models.

 

Key Competencies

  • Experience working with online content platforms or subscription-based services.
  • Knowledge of publishing rights, intellectual property, and revenue-sharing models.
  • Established network within the publishing or industries.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

 

Conditions of Service

TECHAiDE  shall be responsible for the provision of transport, office support and other material requirements to facilitate the work of the Content Associate. The job holder shall be assessed based on the KPIs. Other conditions of service can be found in the Talent Handbook.
