Job Summary

The Sales Associate will play a key role in driving sales growth and revenue for our company. This will involve identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, building relationships with existing clients, and promoting our products and offerings to potential clients. The job holder should have a strong understanding of the educational technology market, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of sales success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities for ASANKA and EDULab.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the educational technology market.
  • Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with organizations that align with our company’s goals and values.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our products and services.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the marketing team on market trends and customer needs.
  • Share insights in the development of and to maintain sales collateral, including brochures, case studies, and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports.
  • Provide regular sales updates and forecasts to the Sales & Marketing Manager.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required by the line manager and Group CEO.

 

Key Performance Indicators

Quarterly Revenue

  • Target: GHC 2,001,000
  • Metric: Total sales revenue generated per month (GHC 667,000).

 

Annual Revenue

  • Target: GHC 8,000,000 (2,001,000 per quarter)
  •  Metric: Total sales revenue generated per annum.

 

New Customers Acquired

  • EDULab Target: 1 per month.
  • ASANKA Device Target: 17 Devices per month.
  • ASANKA Platform/App Subs Target: 250 subs per month.
  • Metric: Number of new customers acquired per month

 

Customer Acquisition Rate

  • Target: 20%
  • Metric: Number of new customers acquired / Total number of customers at the start of the period x 100

 

Customer Retention Rate

  • Target: 80% per quarter
  • Metric: Number of retained clients/ Total number of customers at the start of the period x 100

 

Repeat Business Rate

  • Target: 30%
  • Metric: Number of returning clients/ Total number of clients x 100

 

Sales Calls Made

  • Target: 50 per week
  • Metric: Number of sales calls made per week.

 

Meetings Scheduled

  • Target: 5 per week
  • Metric: Number of meetings scheduled per week.

 

Customer Satisfaction

  • Target: 80%
  • Metric: Percentage of stakeholders that report satisfaction per event.

 

Sales Pipeline Growth Rate

  • Target: 15% per quarter
  • Metric: (Sales in the pipeline for current period/ Sales in the pipeline for previous period) x 100 

 

Pipeline Conversion Rate

  • Target: 20%
  • Metric: Number of closed deals/ Total number of sales opportunities in the pipeline x 100

 

Client Database Accuracy

  • Target: 100%
  • Metric: Accuracy of stakeholder database information in the ERP.

 

Data Timeliness

  • Target: 95%
  • Metric: Percentage of data collected and correctly documented in the ERP within 1 – 3 days after a project activity.

 

Product Knowledge

  • Target: Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, resulting in a 90% accuracy rate on product-related questions.
  • Metric: Product knowledge accuracy / 100

 

Compliance Rate

  • Target: 100%
  • Metric: Percentage of compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, communications, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Graduates with three to five (3 – 5) years of experience in a similar role within sales or marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of sales or business development principles.
  • Strong B2B sales experience.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be proactive and result-oriented
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.

Conditions of Service

TECHAiDE  shall be responsible for the provision of transport, office support and other material requirements to facilitate the work of the Sales Associate. The job holder shall be assessed based on the KPIs. Other conditions of service can be found in the Talent Handbook.
