Job Summary
The Project Communications Associate will work with the Programs Department to support communication efforts across various projects to enhance visibility, stakeholder engagement, and brand consistency. This role involves creating and disseminating content, coordinating with project teams, and maintaining clear, effective communication channels with internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Communication Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement project-specific communication plans.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and identify target audiences.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand communication needs.
Content Creation & Dissemination
- Develop and edit content for project reports, newsletters, website updates, social media posts, and other communication materials.
- Work closely with project teams to gather information and create compelling stories that highlight the impact and progress of various initiatives.
- Assist in the creation of multimedia content, including infographics, videos, and presentations, to effectively convey project outcomes.
- Ensure brand consistency in all project-related communications and adherence to IMPLEMENTERS’ communication guidelines.
- Manage and update project websites and social media platforms for the organization and its funders, as needed.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate communication with stakeholders, including donors, partners, and beneficiaries.
- Support the development of tailored communications for specific audiences, adapting language and tone as needed.
- Engage with stakeholders through digital and traditional channels, responding to inquiries and providing project updates.
Social Media and Digital Communication
- Manage social media activities related to projects, including posting updates, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure project milestones are highlighted across digital platforms.
- Analyze social media and website metrics to measure the reach and impact of project communications, providing recommendations for improvement.
Event Coordination and Support
- Assist in the planning and promotion of project-related events, such as workshops, webinars, and community engagement activities.
- Prepare event materials, including invitations, agendas, and press releases, and coordinate with participants and stakeholders.
- Document project events through photos, videos, and written summaries for internal records and external communication.
Other Responsibilities
- Track and analyze communication metrics (engagement, reach, impact).
- Evaluate effectiveness of communication strategies and submit reports to the Programs Manager.

Timeliness of Communications
- Metric: Percentage of communications delivered on time
- Target: 95%
Quality of Communications
- Metric: Feedback rating from stakeholders (scale: 1-5)
- Target: 4.5/5
Project Visibility
- Metric: Number of project-related media mentions
- Target: 6 mentions per quarter / 6 social media posts on projects per quarter
Project Reporting
- Metric: Number of project reports submitted to sponsors, funders and partners
- Target: 4 reports per year (1 each quarter)

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Media & Communications/Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in an entry-level role.
- Good Digital Communications skills.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of graphic design, video production, or photography.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and applications relevant to the department
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and content creation tools.
Key Competencies
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Good administrative skills.
- Experience with international development, social, or non-profit sector.
- Proficiency in multiple languages will be a great advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Conditions of Service
