Job Summary

The Software Development Associate (Frontend) will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces for RENTBRiG’s digital housing platform.

The job holder will play a critical role in delivering seamless user experiences across RENTBRiG’s marketplace, ensuring efficient interaction between tenants, landlords, and internal systems. The role requires strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies, attention to UI/UX detail, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable code.

To succeed in this role, the job holder should demonstrate strong problem-solving ability, a keen eye for design, and the capacity to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team to deliver secure, reliable, and user-centric digital solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities
Frontend Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive and user-friendly interfaces for RENTBRiG’s digital platform.
  • Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, reusable, and scalable code.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability.

 

Strategic Partnerships
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to implement intuitive user experiences.
  • Develop prototypes and interactive components for stakeholder validation.
  • Ensure consistency in design systems, branding, and user interaction patterns.
  • Validate the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

 

System Integration
  • Integrate frontend applications with backend services using GraphQL APIs.
  • Implement efficient data fetching, caching, and state management using TanStack Query.
  • Ensure accurate handling of user inputs and secure data transmission.

 

Code Quality & Testing
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with best practices.
  • Perform testing, debugging, and optimisation of applications.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards and version control practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement of the codebase.

 

Performance & Optimization
  • Monitor and improve application performance and loading speeds.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and frontend performance issues.
  • Implement best practices for SEO and accessibility where applicable

 

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Work closely with backend developers, product teams, and stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with emerging frontend technologies and frameworks.
  • Contribute to improving development processes, tools, and workflows.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

  • Target: Page load time ≤ 3 seconds
  • Metric: Frontend performance metrics (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals)

 

Defect Rate

  • Target: ≤ 1 defect per feature release
  • Metric: Bugs identified post-deployment

 

Test Coverage

  • ≥ 80%
  • Unit and integration test coverage

 

API Integration Efficiency

  • Target: ≥ 95% successful API interactions
  • Metric: Error rate in frontend-backend communication

 

Stakeholder Satisfaction

  • Target: ≥ 85% satisfaction rate
  • Metric: Feedback from product and business teams

 

Compliance & Documentation

  • Target: 100% adherence
  • Metric: Compliance with coding standards, documentation, and policies.

 

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Target: ≥ 90% positive feedback
  • Metric: Peer and team evaluation

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or any relevant field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in frontend development, preferably within real estate, proptech, fintech, or financial services.
  • Strong proficiency in React.js / Next.js and TypeScript
  • Experience working with GraphQL APIs and modern state management tools
  • Solid understanding of responsive design, UI/UX principles, and web performance optimization
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Conditions of Service
