Job Summary

The main role of a logistics assistant is to support the picking up and monitoring of stock levels, as well as assist with the oversight of the movement of incoming and outgoing goods. The talent should be detail-focused and able to use computers to update and maintain the inventory databases under his/her control. The job holder will assist in planning, coordinating, and managing the flow of materials and equipment to help ensure that they arrive at their destination on time and in good condition.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with team members to plan and drive people or goods from one location to another
  • Ensure that established guidelines are enforced so that purchased goods, materials, or services meet the specified quality standards.
  • Assist in the contract negotiation with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible price and terms.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other partners.
  • Review sources of supply and service provider contractual terms in order to develop alternatives if required.
  • Develop plans for storage facilities such as warehouses or storage yards that can be used by other departments in the company.
  • Coordinate shipping and delivery schedules and routes with transportation companies to ensure that goods arrive on time and without damage.
  • Manage inventory and supervise other talents who handle inventory control, including ordering new inventory when necessary.
  • Ensure that deliveries are properly labelled with addresses, contents, weights, etc.
  • Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by line manager and GCEO.

  • Metric: Percentage of deliveries made on time to sites.

 

Inventory Accuracy

  • Target: 100%
  • Metric: Percentage of accurate inventory records in the ERP.

 

Vendor Performance Rating

  • Target: 85%
  • Metric: Average rating of vendor performance.

 

Cost-Saving Initiative

  • Target: 3 initiatives per quarter.
  • Metric: Number of cost-saving initiatives.

 

Warehouse Space Utilization

  • Target: 95%
  • Metric: Clearly labelled shelves (Number of Labeled Shelves / Total Number of Shelves) 100%

 

Warehouse Safety Incident Rate

  • Target: 0%
  • Metric: Number of safety incidents in the warehouse.

 

Customer Satisfaction Score

  • Target: 85%
  • Metric: Average score from customer satisfaction surveys.

 

Customer Complaint Resolution Rate

  • Target: 95%
  • Metric: Percentage of customer complaints resolved. Resolved within 1-3 days.

 

Supply Requests

  • Target: Process supply requests within 5 days of receipt.
  • Metric: Supply processing time / 5 days

 

Compliance Rate

  • Target: 100%
  • Metric: Percentage of compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or individuals with high school or SHS certificates or who have one to three (1-3) years of experience in the same role/job function.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with category C or above.
  • Must have at least 3 years of driving experience.
  • Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, inventory management, or operations coordination.
  • Basic knowledge in inventory control and stock management.
  • Familiarity with storage and warehousing planning, including space utilization and basic handling standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Conditions of Service
