Job Summary
In this role, the job holder will drive the commercial growth and market expansion of RENTBRiG by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and increasing adoption of the company’s housing solutions platform.
The role will focus on expanding the digital housing marketplace, strengthening relationships with landlords and property owners, and developing employer partnerships that support rent financing solutions. Ultimately, the Business Development Manager will contribute to growing RENTBRiG’s customer base and positioning the company as a leading proptech-enabled housing solutions provider.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Market Expansion
- Develop and implement business development strategies that drive the growth of RENTBRiG’s housing marketplace and service offerings.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within Ghana’s housing, property management, and real estate sectors.
- Expand RENTBRiG’s presence by onboarding landlords, property developers, and property managers onto the digital platform.
- Develop strategic initiatives that increase tenant adoption and use of RENTBRiG’s services.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective partners and clients.
2. Strategic Partnerships
- Establish and manage partnerships with employers to introduce RENTBRiG’s rent financing solutions as part of employee welfare programs.
- Develop relationships with real estate agents, developers, and property owners to increase property listings on the platform.
- Identify and pursue partnerships with financial institutions, fintech firms, and housing stakeholders that support RENTBRiG’s ecosystem.
- Negotiate partnership agreements that create long-term value and support the company’s strategic growth objectives.
3. Revenue Generation
- Drive revenue growth across RENTBRiG’s core service offerings including: Rent Financing Solutions, Property Management Services and Renovation and Remodeling Services
- Develop and implement strategies to increase transaction volumes on the digital marketplace.
- Identify opportunities to diversify revenue streams through new partnerships and service offerings.
- Monitor market pricing trends and recommend competitive pricing strategies.
4. Customer Acquisition & Market Engagement
- Lead initiatives to onboard tenants and landlords onto RENTBRiG’s digital platform.
- Support marketing and outreach campaigns that increase awareness and adoption of RENTBRiG services.
- Represent RENTBRiG at industry events, property forums, employer engagements, and housing sector meetings.
- Strengthen customer relationships to improve retention and long-term engagement.
5. Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Track business development activities, partnership pipelines, and revenue performance.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform business strategy.
- Prepare periodic business development reports for senior management.
- Provide strategic recommendations that support RENTBRiG’s long-term market positioning.
Key Performance Indicators
1. Tenant Onboarding
- Target: 20 new tenants annually
- Metric: Number of registered tenants on the RENTBRiG Platform
2. Employer Partnerships
- Target: 10 Employer partnerships annually
- Metric: Number of organizations partnering with RENTBRiG for employee housing solutions
3. Stakeholder Partnerships
- Target: 20 New partnerships annually
- Metric: Number of real estate agents, developers and property managers
4. Revenue from financing services
- Target: Annual growth of 8%
- Metric: Value of rent financing transaction processed.
5. Transaction success rate
- Target: 95 %
- Metric: Percentage of successful rental transactions completed through the platform.
6. Tenant retention
- Target: 80 %
- Metric: Percentage of tenants who renew or continue using RENTBRiG services.
7. Brand and Market Engagement
- Target: Minimum of 12 strategic industry engagements annually
- Metric: Number of industry events, partnerships, and business development engagements facilitated.

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate or any relevant field from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or commercial strategy, preferably within real estate, proptech, fintech, or financial services.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and operational excellence.
- Strong strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Industry certifications (e.g., membership or certification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG), Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM-UK), and knowledge of relevant software and technologies are added advantages.
- Minimum 3 years experience in residential and commercial properties rental, coupled with at least 4 years supervisory/management experience, preferably in a real estate and/or housing environment.

- Knowledge of real estate, property management and development.
- Proven ability to direct department activities; lead by example; formulate and execute company-wide goals and objectives and assess achievement.
- Good knowledge of the affordable housing industry.
- Ability to summarize data, draw conclusions and inferences, and prepare reports and/or presentations.
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities; leading with respect and consideration of all team members ideas and input.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure to manage multiple tasks and prioritize for completion.
- Confident financial background and attention to detail to prepare, forecast, review, evaluate and interpret various reports and studies, e.g., project progress reports, cost analyses, investment fund proposals etc.
- High standard of ethics in responding to and analyzing tenants complaints.
- High sense of Integrity and Confidentiality.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Google Drive Suite (Docs, Sheets and Slides).
- Good command in written and spoken English.
- Enthusiastic, integrity, transparency, accountability, passionate, disciplined and meticulous.
- Responsible, independent, positive working attitude and able to work in a team.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.

Conditions of Service
